MEET DR. KOMINOS
Dr. Kominos is board certified in both cardiology and integrative medicine. She has over 25 years of experience. She received her medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine and returned to her home state of New Jersey to complete her internal medicine residency and cardiovascular fellowship at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. She founded her own practice in 1989 which blossomed, with the help of her partners, into a full service consultative and interventional practice.

After 15 years of treating heart disease as an invasive cardiologist, Dr. Kominos looked to expand her knowledge and skills. Inspired by patients and family, she attended a nutrition conference where she met Dr. Andrew Weil, founder of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine (AzCIM). Excited by what she learned, she began focusing on integrative medicine and completed the AzCIM 2 year fellowship program.

Dr. Kominos  remained at AzCIM as a contributing faculty member and in 2017 was made a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine with the University of Arizona School of Medicine. She travels to Tucson several times a year to teach.  She is a leading author of their curricula.

In 2012 she joined the Continuum Center for Health and Healing in NYC, one of the largest academic integrative medicine centers. There, she established an integrative cardiology program. During her three years at the Center she was fortunate to have worked with luminaries in the field of integrative medicine: nutritionists, acupuncturists, physicians, and specialists in physical therapy, chiropractic and homeopathy.

Now, Dr Kominos brings her expansive knowledge and skills back to her home state of New Jersey to her new private practice.
